Randy Waters was born at Camp Gordon, Georgia and grew up in a family as one of five brothers and a sister.  In his early years, much time was spent in Germany due to his father's Army career.  The family returned to the Augusta area in 1967.  In 1973 while a student at Augusta College, he came to saving faith in Jesus Christ through the Navigators ministry.  After transferring to Clemson University he met his future wife Kathy in south Georgia while he was working as a park naturalist with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.  Upon graduation, he took a position as a Federal Park Ranger on Clark's Hill Lake with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  In 1978 Kathy and Randy married and have two sons and a daughter. He served for almost 33 years as a ranger before retiring.  For a brief time last year he served as a courier for the local blood bank.  Retirement from Federal service has allowed him to spend much more time in service to the Lord and God's people at Westminster Presbyterian Church as a member, Sunday school teacher and as a deacon since 2000.
